Come monsoon and it is time to push those Sarees far back into the closet. Salwar Kameez Suits are easy to wear when compared with draping a Saree. Apart from that Salwar Kameez Suit is preferable during wet monsoons for more practical reasons as well. Sarees have quite a high chance of getting stained, especially the lower part, when walking on muddy roads. Salwar Kameez, because of its body-fitting silhouette, does not run the risk of getting spoilt by dirty and messy roads or puddles. Thanks to its convenience and easy to wear and carry off' quality, Salwar Kameez has nevertheless gained much popularity irrespective of any weather. Messy monsoons further provide all the more reason to adopt Salwar Kameez Suits  as the most frequently worn outfit by an Indian woman rather than a Saree.
However, it may be noted that Salwar Kameez featuring rather loose or baggy Patiala style Salwar is not exactly the ideal choice for monsoons. It is better if the Salwar tends to be more body-fitting. It is precisely for this reason Churidar Suits prove ideal for monsoons just because of their silhouette. But if a Salwar Kameez has to be chosen over a Churidar Suit, then an ethnic Salwar Kameez featuring Salwar that is less voluminous and features relatively narrow silhouette proves fine for the season. Be it a Casual Wear Salwar Kameez or a Party Wear Salwar Kameez, it is important to consider the style of the Salwar. Heavily pleated Salwars which tend to be quite voluminous are best avoided.
